2024 Bosward Blondini White Cabernet
2024 Bosward Blondini White Cabernet
In 1994, Southern France I was charged with making a white wine from Cabernet Sauvignon for an English supermarket chain. This was a test on many levels, and the volumes were not small, 30,000 dozen.
The techniques we developed have been re-deployed some 30 odd years later with Barossa Valley Cabernet to great effect.
The ethos with Bosward Wines is to develop new styles that will test the minds of consumers and critiques alike. The wine store owners and restaurateurs have no idea what to do with this wine, but they know they need to place it in their portfolios somewhere. But where? It gives me great pleasure to produce something to torment professionals as well as please our wine drinking customers.
Have a go. Its sweetish and will sit well with the Moscato and Prosecco lovers, even though it’s not a sparkling.
The label is a little different and has been created by our artist and friend Matthew Ricci, as a charcoal on textured paper. Matthew is an ultra-contemporary painter who emerges from a background of mathematical sciences. Born in Adelaide, he currently chooses to live and work in Berlin, Germany.
